No Car Accident is Small When it Affects Your Health

Even a mild “fender-bender” can leave your neck, back, shoulders and legs traumatized. Strains, sprains and even slipped discs can be the result of being in a car accident. Whether you’ve been in a mild collision or a severe auto crash, the doctors and physical therapists at Precision Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine are expertly trained to ease your pain and get you back to your natural, healthy state.

Whiplash is Common, Even in Minor Auto Accidents

Whiplash is the result of the head being “whipped” from back to front during a car accident. This motion causes a number of things to happen to the soft tissue and skeletal structure within the neck and spine. Whiplash is merely a term used to describe the initial motion; however, the resulting impact to the body can include many conditions, such as:

  • Ligaments and muscles in the neck can be pulled or torn

  • Nerves can be damaged or irritated

  • Bones can be fractured or broken

  • The vertebrae in the spine can become misaligned (subluxation)

Auto Accidents Often Trigger Pain from Pre-existing Conditions

A pre-existing condition of arthritis can become even more irritated due to even a minor impact from a car collision. Spinal readjustment, physical therapy, massage therapy, spinal decompression and the host of other specialties employed by the trained professionals at Precision Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine can deliver you from the pain due to your acute incident.

Common Afflictions Resulting from a Car Crash Injury
